Workshop #3
Introduction to Usability and AB Testing
2 hours • 30 Participants
Date: Friday, 5 October 2018 / Time: 09.00 – 11.00 / Room: 51st, Blue Room
As Sophia Broke write “As technology becomes more mainstream, usability grows more critical than ever. Although functionality is still the top priority, now digital products are also required to be user-friendly and visually appealing. In this context, UX (user experience) testing is a cornerstone of the product’s lifecycle.“ The UX aspect will always require human input.
Usability testing is one of the most well-known research method in the world of UX. Most people learn it on the fly to do an adhoc session of testing. The workshop aims to give a hands on experience on how to plan and conduct usability testing to validate design ideas.
This workshop is ideal for people who are new to user testing or have some user testing experience, but no formal training.
3 things participants will learn from attending the workshop:
- Get an understanding of usability testing, AB testing, and other testing methods.
- Experience first hand how to plan and conduct usability testing
- Learn briefly how to do initial analysis of test results.
