Yoel Sumitro
VP of Product Design at Bukalapak
Originally from Indonesia, Yoel Sumitro left for Seattle to get a degree in UX from the University of Washington. From there, he has been globetrotting: first, he worked in Apptio in Seattle, followed by Mobilewalla in Singapore and then he was at Adidas Group in Germany. He also worked as a Senior UX researcher at Uber before finally in 2018 he decided to go back to Indonesia and is working at Bukalapak as their VP of Product Design.

User research lets us understand how users interact with services and resources so that we can respond more effectively to their needs with informed and inspired design solutions. The challenge is to know when to use which user research method, within a typical product-development process.
In this workshop we will learn:
- The landscape of user research methods
- How to pick the best user research method for each stage in the product development process
- Tips & Trick for using some of the most commonly used user research methods
